Free Suggestion App for Government The Center offers all government organizations a free app that enables the public to send suggestions from any web page or applicationThe application's goal is to enhance government websites nationwide by providing a simple way for the public to send improvement suggestions regarding specific government websites or applications. It is a place for users of government websites or software to recommend improvements for those websites or applications. Written by students from the New Jersey Institute of Technology for the Center for Government Interoperability, the suggestion app is free to any federal, state, or local U.S. government organization. To use the app, just contact us or download it. How it works The app allows government organizations to manage suggestions for an unlimited number of public facing web pages and apps. On the government website or app, the public sees a link that states Do you have any ideas or suggestions on how we can improve our website or app? Please use our feedback form we look forward to hearing from you!. The public then clicks on the link which opens a suggestion box. Suggestions go in to a database that government managers administer, where they can export, sort, comment on, or compare with similar suggestions to find patterns of problems. The database and programming code are free and open source. Government organizations can choose to either to let the Center host the database in the cloud, or download the programming code and manage it themselves. Technical Information Available in the downloadable package. Demo You can test out the demo here. Real suggestions regarding how to improve the suggestion app are welcome.
